Miss Fisher's Someday-Classroom Website
Making a classroom website was a really fun project! I am not a teacher yet, so it was a blast to pretend. The only issue with creating the website was sticking with a specific idea of a someday-classroom and being consistent and coherent with the age and target audience. I am a special educator, but it was difficult to make it obvious that this was my audience. I did have the thought that mostly parents would be reading my website, and mainly voiced my thoughts to them. All of my resources were geared toward students with disabilities, but were not age specific. My assumed and dream classroom is a young elementary special education classroom, but I am not sure this was obvious throughout my website. I enjoyed learning to use Google Sites, and enjoyed learning how to upload links and pictures, and embed videos. The project overall was very insightful! I especially appreciated that we worked on the project the whole semester. I was able to edit, revise and add to the website as I became more familiar with technology resources and more confident in my tech-abilities. I learned a lot!
