Course Expectations

My course expectations are to learn to use technology in the classroom, but on my own as well. I have never been a very tech-savvy person, and usually become overwhelmed when I have to use technology for a long period of time. I would much rather hand write everything or have something printed out for me. I'll be honest and say I don't think I used my computer over the entire Christmas break last year unless it was for Christmas shopping online. I expect to learn to like using technology more, which may be a big expectation to have. I keep hoping that if I learn more how to use technology, then I'll use it more and like it more. I also expect to know more about how to use technology in the classroom, and how to implement it into lesson plans and instruction. With special education, technology can be very useful for engaging the students and having a visual ready for learning. Today while observing a classroom, I saw a Language Arts teacher communicate as "class pen-pals" via email. I would LOVE to utilize technology in that way.
